Big Boeing Bomber

This is the Boeing B-29 Superfortress. It has four big engines and could carry lots of bombs. It was used in World War II and the Korean War by the US Air Force. Big big big!

Big Ford Excursion in Iceland

When you get bored with having one of the largest SUVs in the world, what should you do?

Make it bigger!

This Ford Excursion is in Iceland, a place with 4x4s are used for what they're made for. The wheel wells have been trimmed at the fenders so larger balloon tires can be used. The entire rig is raised at least eight inches. It's pretty clear from this picture that Icelanders have a different take on four wheel drive. In this frozen land where gasoline hovers around $5-6 per gallon, their 4x4s are bigger, often diesel, and set up to drive on glacial ice.

Big Airplane - US Navy Fat Albert

"Fat Albert" is the US Navy's Lockheed-Martin C-130T Hercules that helps haul the support equipment and personnel for the Blue Angels. Like everything else here at Big Stuff Blog, it's huge!

Super Sized Snow Blower

Check out the size of this snow blower! It is used to clear snow from Washington Highway 20, which travels over tall mountains. The road gets blocked by snow every year the state must use big equipment like the Kodiak snow blower to get rid of all the white stuff.

Now that's a big rig! This machine helps set up cranes and big equipment. It needs that yellow sign at the front to alert drivers that it is a bigger-that-normal truck.

This is the biggest tree in our neighborhood, and it was alive before any of the houses were built. It is so big that I had to take eight pictures just to get the whole thing.
