Big Airplane - US Navy Fat Albert

"Fat Albert" is the US Navy's Lockheed-Martin C-130T Hercules that helps haul the support equipment and personnel for the Blue Angels. Like everything else here at Big Stuff Blog, it's huge!

Check out more pictures at the Official Blue Angels website!

Big Navy Fighter Jet

U.S. Navy Photo / Specialist 2nd Class Ricardo J. Reyes

This fighter jet is nicknamed the "Goose Hawk," and helps men and women train to be Aviators. Aviator is what a pilot is called in the U.S. Navy. This jet can make landings on aircraft carriers like this one, miles and miles from any land. I like the red nose on this aircraft.

You can find out more about the T-45 jet at this website:

Big Harrier Jet from Spain

This is a Harrier Jet.  It can take off like a helicopter straight into the sky.  This one is from Spain.  It is on a British aircraft carrier.  Lots of countries fly airplanes like the Harrier.  They are big and cool.  This website tells you more about them:

Big Navy Frigate Ship

This Navy ship is the USS Taylor. It is called a frigate. Frigates help defend other ships from harm on the ocean. I like how the front of the ship is super pointy. It looks mean. What is your favorite part?

You can find a really big version of this picture here: http://www.navy.mil/management/photodb/photos/090114-N-0780F-001.jpg

Big Aircraft Carrier USS Ronald Reagan

Aircraft carriers are like a big cities on water. They carry lots of people and airplanes. Big airplanes.

This one is named for a US President named Ronald Reagan. He liked to smile and write lots of letters.

Big F-18 Hornet Fighter Jet

This big fighter jet is very fast and loud. Yesterday an airplane like this one crashed in California and hurt people. That is very sad.
