Big River Boat in New York

A river boat uses big paddles to push through the water.  Regular boats have big propellers on the back underwater.  This one is in New York City.  I did not know there were river boats in New York City.  This one would be fun to ride.

Big Blue International Truck

This truck was made by International. They have made trucks like this for a long long time. This one is called a Cab Over. It hauls lots of stuff. It also looks like it hit lots of stuff too.

The building behind it is wrapped in plastic. It looks like a giant Christmas present when you stand in front of it. I think they are turning the building into condos or coffee shops or a gym.

I guess they do not have time to wash this engine because it is working so hard.  I took this picture and the engine was running.  It sounded big and dirty.

Lots of Big Trucks

These big trucks have a lot of names.  People call them semi trucks.  They are also called tractor trailers.  Some people call them rigs.  Other people call them 18 wheelers.  This kind of truck pulls trailers filled with stuff from one place to another.  They can go a long way and not stop all the time for fuel.  Drivers will sleep in the back sometimes.

Big Orange Diesel Engine Train

Trains are super big.  This one hauls freight cars around a train yard. It helps put together trains that go to places like Los Angeles and Chicago.  BNSF has trains in lots of states.

I like this orange train because up close it was shiny.

Big Mack Truck Tractor Trailer

This big truck pulls trailers full of stuff.  It was parked under some power lines by a place where trains pick up cargo.  It is built by Mack.  They have made cool looking trucks for a long long time.

Big Tow Truck With Flames

This is a big tow truck.  Sometimes it is called a Wrecker because it picks up broken cars from the road.  This one has flames painted on the hood.  The rest is covered with black paint.

I like tow trucks a lot.  They help me out because my car breaks downs all the time.

This kind of Ford truck is called a cabover. It can pull big trailers filled with stuff for stores. This truck is older than me. The grass under the bumper is older than me. It has been sitting for a long time. I like the color anyway.

Big Fire Department Ladder Truck

This fire fighting ladder truck is very long. It has two steering wheels. One firefighter sits at the back to help steer it around corners. This truck helps firefighters get into tall buildings. It works in the city of Bellevue WA.

Firefighters are heros because they save people.

Big Union Pacific Train

This engine pulls freight cars around a train yard to make bigger trains. I took this picture in Fife WA in 2005. That is near Tacoma. It is fun to take pictures of trains because they are very very big.

This is a jet airplane in 1946. That is a long time ago. It was flown by NASA pilots to test things like instruments and electronics. This jet also has wheels like a tricycle.

This big brown tanker truck carries food stuff for restaurants. Maybe it is a tank full of cooking oil or fresh water.

Big Cellular Phone

This is a Motorola MC750 cellular phone from 1992. It weighs 2 pounds. You can throw it on rocks and it still works. All cellular phones used to be this big. I used this phone for a long time. It was called "The Brick."
